Comedy, Etc Comes to Tysons on March 21, 2026

There’s a certain kind of magic that happens when you trust 60 individual performers to do their own thing.

As the Program Director for Resonance Improv Alliance, my desk is currently a whirlwind of schedules, volunteer tasks, and stage requirements. We are preparing for Comedy, Etc. on March 21st at 1st Stage, and here is the wild reality: there is no full cast rehearsal.

While our &ROOTS teams are honing their classic long-form and our &ODDITIES groups are perfecting their genre-bending experiments in private pockets across the region, I am sitting at the center of the web, watching the threads pull together.

The Secret Sauce: MIX&MATCH

Because our 14 acts are so diverse—spanning everything from Shakespearean tropes to unruly teen dynamics—we knew we couldn’t just have a standard intermission. We needed a bridge.

That’s where MIX&MATCH comes in. It’s our mid-performance mixer designed to break the fourth wall. While the stage reset happens, the lobby becomes the heart of the show. It’s where the energy of the first seven acts meets the anticipation of the next seven.

Watching 60 performers from different disciplines prepare to descend on Tysons Corner is exhilarating. We aren’t just producing a show; we’re building a community of creatives making a difference.

Experience the Chaos.

You don’t want to miss the energy of 60+ performers colliding in one night. Grab your ALL-ACCESS Pass now and join us for the MIX&MATCH mid-show mixer. Be my lab partner for our experiment in social joy. 🧪
