You can build community with us—without getting on stage. Volunteer in Northern Virginia today!
Looking for FUN ways to volunteer in NOVA?
Here at Resonance Improv, we’re excited to make you laugh, but we’re even more excited to leverage the power of improv to change lives. We’re impacting lives in Northern Virigina by spreading joy and creating community.
Volunteering with us means you’re probably attending our comedy shows, and who doesn’t need a laugh? With Resonance, you can definitely volunteer AND have fun.
🛠️ Behind-the-Scenes Support
We often need help with day-of show support for things like setup, teardown, audience check in, and concessions sales.
Requests for event volunteers are posted on social media, newsletters, or show ticketing pages with a Signup Genius form.
💖 Help Resonance Thrive (Offstage)!
Resonance Improv is growing! To keep the volunteer-only momentum going, we need help with everything it takes to run a production and healing arts integration nonprofit organization. We would be so grateful for your support in any of these roles, and more! Volunteers choose how much time they dedicate to our mission.

Space Sponsorship
As a new initiative in Northern Virginia designed to bring people together, our primary operating costs are theatre and meeting space rentals. By helping us secure a location, you directly enable us to provide free community programs.
Can you host a Resonance community event?
We are looking for inclusive venues suitable for workshops or performances.
- For Workshops: We simply need an open area (roughly 20’x20′) with seating, low background noise, and the freedom to be a bit loud.
- For Performances: Business auditoriums, community halls, or flexible black-box spaces are ideal for making our work open to the public.
If you have a space that can help bring joy and connection to our community, please reach out to contact@resonanceimprov.org. Thank you for helping us grow!
