If you had told me a year ago that we’d be building a 10-page master cue sheet with a dedicated booth crew for Dark & Stormy, I probably would have laughed.
And yet, here we are.
Most improv shows do not come with a lighting plot that could double as a small novel. Dark & Stormy is taking a different approach. We’re building a moody, theatrical world where the lights, music, atmosphere, and performers all work together to create something spine-tingling.
And with 22 days to go, things are getting very real.
We’ve Hit 40% at The Vault
With 22 days, 9 hours, and 2 minutes on the clock, we officially crossed 40% capacity at The Vault!
Watching those seats get claimed this early has been incredibly exciting. Every ticket represents someone choosing to spend their Friday evening with us, and every new name on the roster makes the whole thing feel a little more tangible.
Of course, a production this ambitious takes more than performers showing up and doing their thing. There is a whole community making it happen behind the scenes.
Which brings us to…
The Headshot Grid Is Under Construction
There is a particular moment in every production when everyone’s headshots and bios finally get pulled together.
Suddenly, you’re staring at a grid of faces instead of a collection of rehearsal schedules, emails, forms, and to-do lists.
We’ve been working through stage door security rosters, legal forms, digital program materials, bios, headshots, and all the other wonderfully glamorous administrative details that make a production possible.
Seeing the entire ensemble lined up together has been one of the coolest parts of the process. These are the people who will walk into that room on October 9, step into the world we’ve been building, and create the show together in real time.
That’s when it starts to feel real.
The Link Share Leaderboard Is Getting Competitive
We still have 60% of the room to fill, so our cast and crew have been sharing their custom tracking links far and wide.
Naturally, we turned it into a competition.
The prize: bragging rights, fresh Resonance swag, and two free drinks at the bar on show night.

Twenty-two days.
The room is taking shape. The production is taking shape. The excitement is building.
