“It’s hard to get [my husband] out to try things, mostly because he is afraid of embarrassing himself, but he seemed to enjoy [improv for movement and memory].
On the way home, he said that he especially liked the exercise where we had to carry on a conversation in gibberish, because he didn’t have to worry about finding the right words. That’s been a challenging part of his Parkinson’s, and it was good to see he enjoyed doing that particular improv exercise.
In any event, thanks for offering these programs. I hope we see you again soon.”
Improv for Movement & Memory is hosted at Insight Memory Care Centers in Fairfax and Sterling in partnership with Inova Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders Center.
